day 20: a pretty enough backyard

It's time for Christmas cards and that means it's time for a new family picture (if any of you who actually still read this blog want a Jensen Christmas card, let me know). We had planned yesterday to go out and snap a few pictures with our tripod, but, not surprisingly, rain was in the forecast. However, the sun did come out in the afternoon and it would have been perfect, but by the time I could have gotten us all ready, daylight would have been long gone.
The forecast for today was "mostly sunny". But as our friends, the Palmers, confirmed for us, sunny days are actually colder here in Eugene since the clouds keep in all of the warmth. So instead of venturing out to a fun location for family pictures, we decided our backyard would have to do. I'd stay inside the warm house while Bryant set up the tripod, I'd hurry out with the kids, take a few pictures and then it would all be over with. That would not have been a possibility with our house in Delano. Our yard just wasn't nearly pretty enough.

  1. Ha ha. Our backyard is mostly just dirt but I'm almost done with the sprinklers. By this time next year we should have some nice, pretty grass.
